Mail issue latest S7 update

Hi,

 

Really odd issue which I think has happened after the latest software update. Stock Mail App using exchange active sync, does not display sent items properly or drafts for example. You can see on the item count that items are present in the folder but actual mail items do not show. 

 

On other devices and outlook pc all looks fine. 

 

Have tried removing account from mail and setting up again. Have tried fully resetting the phone back to factory but not joy. 

 

Have now had another user reporting the same issues on another S7.

 

Has anyone come across this or is it a bug?

I havent heard anything back from the email team yet. Logged a case about a week ago now. How long did it take for your response?

It was very quick really... next day I think it was, that reply was yesterday morning :smiling-face: although I did email twice to start with..

I am going to send another. I went on web chat and they said they couldn't check on the email team! Then said contact them today but couldn't get though!

I use the email address on Google Play
b2b.sec@samsung.com

Seemed to work the second time although I did ask for a "read receipt" on my email :winking-face: May do a follow up now :smiling-face:

Have same issue, started same day. I had just bought 4 S7 and happening in all of them with different email accounts, only got a few messages in the sent folder counter does rise. Forced to use the Outlook app that has the non editable contacts issue... Some (not all) of the messages sent through the Outlook app do appear on the S7 app.

 

Is there any solution yet? Already 1 week!!!

Hi, I have the same issue as everyone else, what's the best way in your opinion to lodge an error report with Samsung?  Obviously the more folk that contact them the better as they'll realise this is a systemic issue.

I sent a message via the normal support website and tried chat but no joy, so last night I sent an email to b2b.sec@samsung.com to see if I get a resonse as was suggested earlier on here. Fingers crossed!

Thanks. I'll try that as well, user Matthieu2 summed the issue up well.  It's really quite irritating.  But I've discovered that the Outlook app works fine, so it's just the stock Email app v 4.0.87.0 that seems to be misbehaving. I've just enabled the virus protection and whether it was just coincidence but the stock email app is now partially working in that I can now see email sent from the phone but not from a computer.  This all feels like it's related to the recent software release.

Hi Matthieu2, you summed up the issue very well, although out of interest how does one access the "All messages" folder, I don't appear to have one.

You will only have one if you have more than one email account setup in the stock mail app.
