Other SmartphonesHi,
Really odd issue which I think has happened after the latest software update. Stock Mail App using exchange active sync, does not display sent items properly or drafts for example. You can see on the item count that items are present in the folder but actual mail items do not show.
On other devices and outlook pc all looks fine.
Have tried removing account from mail and setting up again. Have tried fully resetting the phone back to factory but not joy.
Have now had another user reporting the same issues on another S7.
Has anyone come across this or is it a bug?
Thanks.

Other SmartphonesHi @RL1
Do you know which software update it was ?
I'm on the most recent update on my unbranded s8 bought directly from Samsung using the stock samsung email app using an imap email account.
No issues you are experiencing are happening on my phone.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra 256Gb in Phantom Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Other SmartphonesHi,
I'm using exchange activesync and presumably the S7 has a different software build so not comparable.

Other SmartphonesHi,
I got the very same issue with my S7 running Android 7.0 build G930FXXU1DQF3 and email built-in app v4.0.87.0.
Starting last Friday, not proper syncing of "sent folders". The email count is incrementing, emails are properly sent but will not appear in the sent folder. I can even retrieve these emails in the "All messages" folder. If the sent message is part of a thread/conversation, I can also retrieve it.
All this trying to sync gmail accounts (happens to several accounts)
Tried to clear cache, then cache partition, no change
Performed a full factory reset, still not working
Sending a message to myself (To) worked, the sent email appears in my sent folder. But sending to someone else with my own email (cc) doesn't.
Syncing with another Samsung A5 running Android 6 worked like a charm.
Found a few other forums reporting the very same issue.
Hello Samsung, any chance you can check this before we all move to another email app ? (gmail and outlook sync perfectly on the very same device...)

Other SmartphonesHi,
Sounds exactlly the same issue. I have also noticed another thing... opening attachments such as PDF or Word doc - it gets to 99% and the mail app crashes. When it re-opens the attachment opens fine. Does it everytime.

Other SmartphonesSince 19 July, exactly same issue here. Please advise before I switch to outlook or Gmail.

Other SmartphonesI have logged a case with Samsung support via email so just waiting for a response. Would be nice for it to be acknowledged on here as well. Seems like an issue that is a bug in the latest software version....

Other SmartphonesI have a new S8+ using the standard Samsung Mail app...
If you read the Google PLay store you will see mine and a couple more reviews regarding notification sissues since the last update on the 25th July...
I only had my new handset on the 26th and it automatically updated when setting the phone up...
99% of the time I do not get any sound notification of pop-up on the screen then all of a sudden it may work a couple of times... I just see "x" mail messages on the icon 😞
I have emailed the email address on Google Play 3 times now and emailed Samsung support... no reply as yet..
I like the mail app but if it is not fixed asap I may need to look at other options...
I have been speaking to Maildroid and there support seems excellent.

Other SmartphonesI have emailed Samsung who requested I sent them a "dump" file from my handset... Hopefully they will sort it soon..
Seems the last update caused issues..
