M31 Bluetooth audio cuts out

Hey 🙂

Anyone know why the bluetooth audio on my lovely new M31 might be cutting out please?

  • Range is about 3m, but sitting the phone on top of the receiver doesn't make any difference. Receiver picks up PC BT audio at the same distance no problem.
  • BT TX volume is about 75% but makes no difference whether more or less: Equalizer is normal.
  • Spotify track is downloaded, so it's not buffering there.
  • Phone's fully charged, not streaming anything in the background.

All suggestions gratefully received!

I haven't tested Bluetooth on my M21 which is very similar, but the device you are connecting to, is it Bluetooth 5 or 4 out of interest?

No idea, but thanks for providing a possible explanation - the BT RX is pretty old...

That is alright, it is annoying to buy another pair but my Anker Soundcore Life Q20 with bluetooth 5.0 work fine currently. If you do decide to try a new pair then make sure they are bluetooth 5.0/5.1.

 

Maybe you could test a paid of Bluetooth 5.0 pair in a store somewhere to see if the issue is resolved.
