Instagram pictures/videos are blurry and low quality

I judt got this new s7 edge. I use instagram a lot and have noticed the quality of the photos and videos i see are poor quality. Its not the highest that it can br. How can i fix this?

Hey @Arsen2! Let's look into this! Do you know if your software is up to date? Does this only affect photos taken on Instagram?

it is fully up to date. the videos and pictures i view on my feed are low quality. not the videos and pictures i upload. i have my resolution at FHD as HD was just really poor on instagram. UHD will drain my battery. i have no clue why its low quality. my note 5 never had a problem cause it had a higher resolution

Is this only noticeable on the Instagram app, @Arsen2? Are the photos, etc. on other apps displaying OK? Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling?

i have tried untalling it and restalling it. this is only in the instagram app. the photos and videos in the app are fuzzy, low quality.

u cant fix it unless. instagram will release special version for each phone that have OS Android. 

it means for example there few models of iphone. instagram can customize app for each of them. 

in opposite there a thousands of brand that use android. each of them have different camera. different screen size. different screen resolution etc... so they customized on average 

I noticed that if u record video on ur camera app/ then upload to ur story there was a little improvement 

if u do it direct on ur insta app.. quality is catastrophic

I think I figured it out.  I too was getting blurry videos and remembered I switched off access to my data when it asks me to allow access when you take a Instagram photo (swipe left).  So I allowed access and sure enough I get high quality videos.  May be isolated incidence but may work for you.  Goes to show data is what they really want.

I have this problem too since yesterday with my galaxy s9 and nothing seems to work... also this option doesn't work. Who can help me?

This has literally just happened to me with my Samsung s9... Pictures are perfect quality in my phone and then blurry in Instagram stories. Help!
