I want to block messages and I don't know how to I have a Samsung note 8.

I know you can block someone in particular? but maybe you should report them

put the number into your contacts as 'scammer 1' etc and then block it in contacts

I don't know if this helps but on the note 10 there is an option to block numbers in the 3 dot menu in messages.

@BendyWend: There's a few things you can attempt. If you open the Messages app > Tap on the relevant text > Tap the 3 dots in the top right, you can select 'Block Contact' from here. Alternatively, open the Messages app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Block Numbers and Messages > Block Numbers, and apply the block from here. You can also enable Caller ID and Spam Protection by opening the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Caller ID and Spam Protection > On, to show information about unknown callers and telemarketers.
