I've had it for less than two months and it just stopped working has anyone else had this problem? I took it to a shop to get it fixed but they said you can't buy parts for it is that true?

Have you taken it to a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre?
Devices have a 24 month warranty.
Use a torch to see if there is any lint or debris in the jack.
