Other SmartphonesI can't remove app icons from the home screen

Other SmartphonesWhich device are you using @Ozzy1
App shortcuts can typically be moved into folders or onto another Homescreen via long holding on the app icon and move it with your finger whilst still holding down.
A pop up box on my s8 on Nougat gives the option to remove shortcut.
To add > Some apps cannot be removed / uninstalled and some can.
Sometimes a device glitches which is normally helped by turning the device off and on and or clearing the apps data and cache.

Other SmartphonesNew update. Using Samsung 7. Cannot delete unwanted icons. Hold icon down, menu pops up to delete and disappears when I try to drag icon. My settings menu doesn't have developer options.

Other SmartphonesYes, these steps make Developer Options active, but playing with "Animator duration scale" has no effect on the problem - I still can't remove apps from home screen.
