I am not recieving any updates on my galaxy s8 in India.

I live in India but purchased the phone from Dubai (UAE) and recieved updates for a while. The phone used to have apps like samsung pay UAE and other apps related to UAE. I even recieved the Oreo update earlier than India. But after I factory reset my phone in august 2018, my phone then showed samsung pay India framework which is good for me, but then I stopped recieving software updates and security updates. I think i will not even recieve the Pie update now, what should i do. I even tried factory reseting again and smart switch, but it just says 'up to date'.

Was the phone supplied directly by Samsung or instead via a mobile phone network @Shrutik  ?

At least the updates are then not being controlled by a network. 

Your reliant on the country of origin to send out the updates.
