How does on screen fingerprint work?
There is a mini optical camera under the screen which takes image of fingerprint, some phones have a bright light which illuminates as soon as its touched, its for the optical camera to see.
First goto:
Settings > Search > Optimise battery usage > Tap app not optimised > Tap all > Search > Com.Samsung.Android.Biometrics > Turn it off
Then goto:
Settings > Biometrics and security > Biometric preferences > Turn screen transition effect off
Additional (Not necessary):
Settings > Apps > 3 dot menu on top > Show system apps > search Com.Samsung.Android.Biometrics > Storage > Clear data

Settings > Display > Turn touch sensitivity on
Additional (not necessary):
Settings > Biometrics and security > Fingerprints > add fingerprints > Add your main finger
