After my phone was damadged, the fingerprint scanner started severly heating (up to 100+C). It not only causes a discomfort during usage, but also shorts the lifespan of the battery significantly. In my opinion, the only way how to manage it, is to somehow cut it of from the power supply so it will not consume energy of the battery and will not heat.

What phone do you have?
Most of the finger print scanners were just lit up by a section of the screen.
Now we have ultrasonic.
Neither of which should really heat up.

Where did you purchase the phone?

If you purchased it recently, I'd be looking at returning it and getting my money back

Something is definitely not right with the unit you have

My phone is Galaxy A03s, the scanner is located on the side of the devise. It is likely that when it was damaged, a constant short circuit was created.
