How do you block Spam Text Emails on Samsung S8?

I keep receiving Spam text messages via an e-mail on my Samsung S8.  There is no way to block it because it is an e-mail.  Any suggestions?

Are you using the Samsung Email app? On mine you can add addresses to a Spam list in Email settings.

No, I'm not using an e-mail App.  These are just text messages coming onto my phone.  But, there is no phone number listed under the incoming Text so I can't block the number.  It only reads an e-mail listed.

Ah OK. Depends on your version of the messages app I think. Some you can block on a phrase or conversation so you don't need the number.

Yes, thank you for the reply Jamze.  I have heard you can block a phrase which I tried to do, but either my phone does not have that feature - or worse yet - someone told me that Samsung has deleted that particular feature.  😞    I think today I received about 5 spams.  It's very irritating.  I may contact Samsung directly.  My carrier said they cannot block.  I have AT&T.
