Hi. I opened my Galley app today to find all the usual albums there (Facebook, Downloads, Instagram, Camera etc), but where I used to have around 700 "Camera" pictures, I now have only the two most recent. All of my SD images are also gone. I don't back up to the cloud. Can anyone help?

I assume you save your photos direct to your Sd card  ?

I would suggest removing the sd card and clean the contacts and reinsert to see if reseating the card helps.

You could try it in another phone or in a holder to hook up to a computer.

Do not reformat it or they'll be lost.

That said the card may have been corrupted someway.

Personally I use Dropbox to also save my photos to.

I think it is an issue with the SD card. All images are there when loaded into my laptop. My phone says it's corrupted, so I did the in-phone formatting, but still says it's corrupted.

Is it likely to be a phone issue?

Hi @brob85

You may have now had the negative outcome of deleting the images from the Sd Card if you've reformatted.

And yes it could be a glitch stopping the phone reading the card unfortunately.

I made sure to back all content up to an external hard drive first. In any event, the formatting on the device hasn't worked.

Will I have to buy a new SD card to figure out if it's a device issue? Not sure I want to spend £40 If it's the phone and not the card!

It's a good process of elimination to try another card.

Not all are £40.

Or buy a 2nd hand one from places like CEX ortry a friends etc maybe.
