Hello,
I just recieved my Galaxy S8 yesterday. After one day using it, I realize that the screen has some problems. First, there are some dark shadows on the screen, it will disappear when setting to maximum brightness. If I move black pixel icons over those dark shadows, it create a new dark line in the screen. The dark shadows can be seen by the eyes, but it's hard to see after recoreded by my camera. Moreover, when recording using my camera with shutter speed set to 1/100, the screen is flickering while nothing happens to my old Xperia XA. Is this screen defective, or is it normal with AMOLED?
This problem is very annoying, you can see my recorded videos in the following urls:

Go with your gut feeling and have the phone swapped out @winev52 before any cooling off period expires.
My s8 display is even.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

So I ordered an S8 for my wife from sky mobile. The phone arrived and after my about two weeks we got the phone out the box and set it up for my wife to use. One morning my wife was using it as normal when a black smudge appeared about 3/4 the way up and the screen started to pixelated a little. We phoned the company who took us through the rest procedure but nothing changed the phone was returned for repair. Only I was presented with a bill for £200 as apparently the fault wasnt a manufacturing fault but apparently caused by excessive pressure. In essence my wife damaged the phone. Weve been told we must have dropped it it must have been in a steamy environment ie kitchen or bathroom. None of these things happened the phone was returned without a mark on it. I would like to know what pressure is required to delaminate the screen as they so put it. And where we stand as regards to the phone not being fit for purpose.

those marks and shadows can possibly be in screen burning on the amoled screen if it has some stains on it go and replace it and get a new amoled screen
