Other SmartphonesI have the unlocked version of the Note 8 (UK version), yet it's still on the 1 August 2017 security patches.
Other regions have had the October and now November security updates, yet we're given the third class treatment for a flagship phone.
Older phones like the S6 and S7 are getting their updates sooner as well.
Even network provided phones in the US have the updates rolling out.
What's the point buying expensive phones when they're last in line for anything.
Can Samsung stop treating like like rubbish and get their act sorted out!!

Other SmartphonesSamsung are a joke!! Why is the uk nearly the last country to get updates??? And now network locked devices getting them before sim free devices!?! How can they make a flagship device that cost nearly £900 and then just forget put it at the back of the que?!?!

That's not the only thing we're left out on. When flagship devices are lauched, all other regions except the UK (sometimes EU) get free gifts and offers.
We simply pay £900 and get the benefit of having the device a few days early.
Also with the Note 7 debacle, all other regions got freebies, we got squat...
Will definitely need to reconsider getting another Samsung in future.

Other SmartphonesI am on the same boat here. Would thought that an unbranded/unlocked device would get the updates before the branded ones.
I agree with you all when you say such an expensive device and still running August security patches. I am sure part of what we payed for the device is for continued support...

Other SmartphonesIts shocking!! Vodafone and three have both had the new security update in the uk and everyone with unlocked devices are still waiting! How is this possible?? Atleast apple know how to do updates properly!! You would also think that samsung would be monitoring these pages but there not even bothered in the slightest! All they care about is taking our money amd thats it!!
