Galaxy A5 2017 Microphone

Hi

I have the A5 2017 and since purchasing I have had problems with people who have called me or who I have phoned hearing me. This only happens with Mobile calls, calls on Messenger or Whatsapp are okay. I have made sure that the phone software is up to date and the SIM works fine in other phones. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Hi,

Sometimes problems can be caused by.....

A screen shield or case.
Or water getting into the mic.

However if it's working ok for the Apps you mention then it could be your network connection. It maybe worth checking any available Network Mast Checker provided by your mobile network.

You may need to book the phone in with your nearest Samsung Service Location for a diagnostic and if necessary a repair.

Also turning off 4G / 3G in your phones settings to force 2G may help stabilise the call quality.

Purchased may 2018 for son studying in germany and cannot make calls or receive calls. He is only 13 years and this is needed

I have contact with three new A5's. they are all useless when speakerphone is enabled. connections via BT devicces are fine. The mic works only if no speakerphone. This problem showed when Samsung did a system update in June 2018. 

I want it fixed or money back. Still under warranty. Samsung repar depot agrees.
