Hello Everyone,

My friend bought a Galaxy A3 2017 a month ago at Media Markt in Germany.

It had a regional European lock so as advised by the seller, he put his european sim card and phoned for about 30 Minutes.

Now he is Nepal and wanted to use the phone with a nepalese sim.

But the phone is asking for a pin ? We don't know what kind of pin it is ?

It exactly says :

"Enter PIN to open

Your PIN contains at least 4 digits."

Can anybody please help me what kind of pin it is ?

Thank you

Hi @tudee92

It is likely that the phone is locked to the network in Germany (his European SIM). In order to obtain the necessary PIN your friend will be required to contact the relevant network to request a PUK code which he can use to unlock the phone, after which he will be able to use the Nepalese SIM.
