Other Smartphoneshi. I can't make this work. I swiped my fingerprint every which way, and it seems happy when i set it up. but then when I go to actually unlock my phone it never recognises me. I have had to turn it off because it takes too much time to get into my phone each time.

Other SmartphonesHi Marlax,
I would reccomend getting this issue looked at by a Samsung Support Centre or one of our Support teams in a Samsung Experience store.
It could be a security app or something similar running thats blocking the use of the fingerprint, or perhaps the software may have a bug at the moment. Alternatively the Sensor could be faulty but this is unlikely if it's able to initially set up in the setting.
If you want to take the 1st steps to self fix here is some tips:
As this is a software issue, restarting the device and also checking for updates would be the first step. If this doesn't help, then a complete factory reset is very likely to solve your issue. Bear in mind that this will wipe everything on the phone back to it's original layout and content just like when you first bought the device. If you want to back everything up you can use Smart Switch for PC or Mac and this will create a restore for you. When you have factory restet the device you can then plug it back into the computer and restore from that back up.
Hope this helps,
Please hit the heart / Kudo's nutton if it does .
Thanks
Adam

Other SmartphonesHi Marlax, I can understand your level of frustration with how much you are fed from this issue. but I really advise you to don't worry and just to re_start your phone or do a factory reset and then update your fingerprints again. I am sure it will surely help you. because I have tested and it's working fine for me.
i hope it helps.
