Facebook notifications not working ?

So I logged on to Facebook through Samsung internet and now push  notifications won't work for the app and I've tried every solution I can find. Any tips ?

Which phone do you have, @GrsmRngr? And what troubleshooting have you tried already?

I have a Galaxy Note 9, 128GB.  I've tried closing and re-starting, logging off and back on, and uninstall/re-reinstalling the entire app. I've also enabled some of the notification settings others have suggested...

Thanks confirming this @GrsmRngr! Can you let us know what settings you have enabled? Why don't you try clearing the Samsung Internet app's cache and cache data. You can do this from Settings > Apps > Show System Apps > Samsung Internet > Storage.

When going through Settings > Notifications > I have "Show With Number" under App icon badges" turned ON (this is what I am wanting it to do ideally).  Facebook is ON under All apps.  When I click on Facebook, ON is on, and App Icon Badges is on. Under the ADVANCED tab on NOTIFICATIONSfacebook is on.   If there is another you're specifically wondering about, let me know.  For a reference, I'm not certain that other apps are working either.  Pinterest,  for example, appears to be doing the same thing, so I assume its a wonky setting somewhere, and NOT the FB app itself.

Your notification settings seem to be set up correctly! How did you get on with clearing the cache and cache data? It would be worth checking that your apps are up-to-date by heading into the Google Play Store > Menu > My Apps & Games > Updates.

@GrsmRngr: Just to cover all the Notification settings bases, is everything set up okay within the app itself? (The "Verify Facebook App Notification Settings" bit on this guide breaks it down quite well. Might be worth a read of the other stuff in that guide to see if there's anything else that might help in your case too.)

Thanks I was having the same issue and was getting  really  frustrated with it. But I took out my sdcard an now it's working again. Do you think it's a fault with the phone or the sdcard seems so random.

I don't have an SD card in mine yet...so I can't really lay the blame on an external card 😞

I'm having the same issue. I just got my first Samsung after moving away from Apple. All seemed fine then did an update set up bixby and now they are only working intermittently. It's driving me insane as I'm missing messages on "messenger lite app" this morning I opened fb app and noticed I had a red notification on the msngr symbol with the main fb ap. I didn't get a sound notification for this or a red number or for on the actual messenger lite app only saw it once I n the main app it's self. Main fb notifications sent working either... only there once I open the app and still not showing in notificatio n centre or red dots on ap.. Help!
