Enhanced Features

I have an annoying message that has recently started popping up on my Galaxy S7. It tells me it's time to update Enhanced Features. I have never seen anything about this before and can't find it anywhere on my phone. I've Googled it and I don't want anything to do with it. How can I get rid of it (if it's on the phone) and stop these messages appearing? (Without having to download another app to do this!).

We'd expect if you're running Nougat on your S7, the options would be there.

 Hey @Oggy531.

Can you go to Contacts > Tap your own profile. From here you should see 'Profile Sharing' as an option to select. Once you've tapped this there'll be a toggle bar to slide to disable the feature if it is currently enabled.

I have Nougat 7.0 on my s7. I get a Profile Sharing in my Contacts, it shows my phone number underneath, but there is no option that comes with it. Nothing happens when I tap on Profile Sharing. I don't get why I don't have any of these options that you think I should have?

Could you send me a private message with a screenshot of what appears (or doesn't appear) when you tap 'Profile Sharing'? 

I know you're saying nothing happens, but do you mean after you've tapped it nothing happens or a new menu appears and there's nothing to enable or disable?

I really appreciate your trying to help - I got frustrated when talking to Samsung about it before and they told me that Enhanced Features was nothing to do with Samsung.

I don't know how to send you a private message or how to send a screenshot, sorry. Profile Sharing on my phone does not provide anything to select. There are no options and nothing happens if I tap on it or anything else around it.

We'd recommend a visit to your local Samsung Support Centre or Experience Store, which you can find using this link: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/servicelocation/.

They'll be able to physically inspect the phone and ensure this feature is fully deactivated. I do suspect that this is already the case, but without seeing some screenshots, I'm unable to confirm for sure. 

Is there a service location nearby?

Hi BeccaS,

Same problem here, tried to deregister by following the link, when I enter my phone number the system gives an error asing me to enter a "valid phone number" tried many times to no avail.

Tried on the phone too (Galaxy Edge S7 but not able to find settings you refer to.
