Emails not syncing

Galaxy A5 2017

When I delete emails they keep reappearing in my inbox.  The only way to delete them permanently is to log on to the pc and delete them from there. 

Didn't have this problem on my previous A5.

I've got imap emails

This is probably something you’ll need to look at when you log into your emails Settings via your browser and look at options to do with the server. Something like delete emails from server.

But all my other devices delete from server. Only had a problem since changing my phone

Are you using the Samsung Stock email app ?

I also use an imap account on my s8 using the stock Samsung email app and if I delete an email from my phone it deletes off my server. 

Ive looked in my email app settings and am yet to find a particular setting that's set at phone level. 

Are you able to check in your email settings that its not inadvertently changed to a pop3 type account.

I've checked and it's still set as imap account.

I've spoken to my email provider to see if it's a setting their end and they've told me it's a known issue with Samsung email app.

Disappointed Samsung themselves wasn't aware of this issue.

So I guess I'm looking for recommendations for alternative email apps

There are quite a few in the Playstore to choose from. 

My advice is to read the reviews and test them. 

K-9 Mail I think it’s called I found adequate.
