Email Recycle Bin not emptying

I havecave bt email and yesterday the recycle bin stopped emptying. When you delete the recycle bin it shows as empty but when you refresh all the deleted emails appear again. I have seen this could be a bug from a recent update. My phone updated 2 weeks ago and now just starting to happen. Can you pls advise Samsung Many thanks

Hi everyone. If your email account is POP3 or IMAP then please log in to your account via a browser, and check your settings for an option to permanently delete emails from external devices, or reach out to your email provider directly for further instructions. From what I can see, this is not an option that is available in the Email app itself. Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

This happens a lot with gmail & when you empty spam only happens on my mobile devices never when i access gmail through a laptop being doing this for over a year
