Hello everyone,

I want to ask you something about the Edge screen. As you know, from the Galaxy S6 Edge we already have a curved screen. That has advantages and disadvantages.

What is your opinion? Do you prefer screen with curves, without curves or the option to choose?

I prefer the S7 micro curve screen. Edge functions could be the same and the edges of the phone would be less pointed.

I think the best would be to be able to choose, like S6 and S6 Edge.

Hi @31415926536

I started off with an s7 edge and then onto a s8 and find the curved edges allow a more comfortable hold on the phones themselves.

My note 9 has less pronounced edges but is still enough to be comfortable to hold.

I remember accidental touches was an issue on the s7 edges until Samsung sent out a fix.

I use the edge panels quite extensively and wouldn't want to be without that feature now.

The downsides to the edges in my opinion are....

There can be glare issues when out in the sun.

They are a weak point if the phone is accidently dropped.

Replacement screens are expensive.

Tempered Glass Screen Protectors are hard to find as they just pop off except for the WhiteStone Dome in my experience due to how the adhesive is applied.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
