Other SmartphonesI recently set the direction lock on my phone which is located in Settings 》accessibility 》direction lock it seemed like a cool feature but unfortunately I am now unable to turn it off and and as a result my phone can be simply unlocked just by swiping the screen.
It doesn' even request the direction lock I set.
The only time it request it is when I reboot my device.
I am using the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with the latest firmware.
Please assist. Has anyone else had this issue?
I would prefer not to have to format my device

Other SmartphonesI see you had this problem a while ago. I'm having the same problem right now. (I could kick myself for setting up direction lock.) Wondering/hoping you found a solution other than a hard reboot.

Other Smartphones@Cyn1: Is it not possible to disable Direction Lock by heading to Settings > Accessibility > Direction Lock, and toggle the switch off? If not, try tapping on Screen Lock Type, and change to an option other than Swipe to see if this helps.
