Cannot remove voicemail notification

Always had an issue with random voicemail notifications I cannot clear without clearing cache or force stop.   Since software update last week, voicemail notification will not clear at all.  Reached out to Samsung who advised a factory reset to be completed.  Still have issue 😠. Can see from this community this is a long standing issue that Samsung haven't fixed.  Any software patches available to fix this bug?  Only alternative is to have repair engineer come out when not sure this requires a physical repair.  Samsung A71 model

Have you spoken with your network provider, @DPJ201070? This feature is governed by them, including all notifications you receive regarding voicemails.

no you need ring your voice mail provider and listen your voice mails and after your notification goes

two different providers since had phone. Samsung live chat and call back are not saying to contact provider
