I do not use your model of Samsung Phone but this was mentioned on another site.
"Another method to take a screen capture on Galaxy J5 is by swiping the screen. This gesture must however be enabled in Android. To enable the feature on the Samsung Galaxy J5, you must navigate to the settings of your smartphone. In the settings, please tap “Motions and gestures” and then on “Palm swipe to capture“. Activate the function by activating the controller."

Other SmartphonesI'm wondering if your particular phone in your country does not have this particular issue if its not in your phones preference settings.
On my s8 which is on Nougat in the UK its located in Settings - Advanced Features - Palm Swipe to Capture.
