Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to have the led flash indicate the countdown of the timer as I've noticed it only makes sound during the timer countdown. If this doesn't exist, please add this feature in the next update
Thanks

Put flash on. At the end of the countdown, the flash will start. At least we know when the photo was taken.

But I agree that there should be another way to take group photos.

When in timer mode, like all the digital cameras, slr cameras, there is a cue light which flashes as each second passes by.

So apart from the sound, there is no other cue to the user who is standing in front of the rear cameras to take a picture of himself.

The flash LED could be used for this purpose in low power mode . If you want a reference implementation or behavior, please look at the Pixel phone.

I hope this gets added, seemingly simple feature to add.

Most other flagship phones have this feature. It would be amazing when taking portraits to have this feature. We took pictures today using my S22 Ultra on a tripod and it was impossible to get the kids to look at the camera at the same time. It was also annoying that the S-pen would disconnect from the phone when I was 10 ft away so it couldn't be used to take a picture. We then used my wife's iPhone 12 and used her watch as the remote. The flash blinked 3 times then took the picture. All our kids were looking at the camera at the same time because of the blinking light. Samsung really should add this as feature that can be turned on/off.

I was trying to find out how to have this led flash timer indicator and came to this thread. It appears so many people requested for this basic feature yet no one in Samsung Team seems to want to listen. What a let down!

The same for me! I take various group pictures on a weekly basis and I mount my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra on a tripod side by side with an iphone of a friend and everyone in the group complains that they don't know where to look at, when the iphone photo is done. This is really frustrating the photo experience in front of a group of 40 people every week, when the iphone is flashing for them to look at, while Samsung doesn't. This seems to be pretty basic, but of relevant impact on the experience.

Camera's have been doing this for decades now.  I don't understand how Samsung says this is a quality issue.  I wonder if a developer out there has a better camera app since Samsung clearly isn't making any progress on this very basic feature.

Just get my new Galaxy S24 Ultra but missed signal camera timer... I don't understand how Samsung says this is a quality issue.  I wonder if a developer out there has a better camera app since Samsung clearly isn't making any progress on this very basic feature.

I agree with the suggestion to add this feature to your software,  as it is common in most camera apps in other brands and it is very helpfull
