Other SmartphonesHi.
I am getting scam 1 or 2 ring calls from international numbers - from Saudi Arabia last month and from 2 (slightly) different numbers in Tonga yesterday. I have no contacts in either of these countries.
Is there any way to block country dialing codes?
I have looked on an Andriod help website which says my Galaxy S8+ should have a 'Match Criteria' option when entering a number to block, which would allow me to select 'Starts With' to block country codes, but it doesn't.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Regards,
Cam

Other SmartphonesYour phone has a blocking feature for texts and calls if it sees the incoming calls number.
"From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
Tap 3 dots > Settings.
Tap Block numbers and choose from the following:
To enter the number manually:
Enter the number.
If desired, choose a Match criteria option:
Exactly the same as (default)
Starts with
Ends with
Includes
To search for the number:
Tap the Contacts icon.
Tap Recents or Contacts.
Tap the number to reject or contact to add to the reject list.
To block unknown callers, move the slide under Block unknown callers to ON"
And launch Settings and search for Spam which Caller ID and Spam Protection will show.
Toggle that On too.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Other SmartphonesHi Andrew.
Thanks for your response. I use my phone for work as well as personal, so get calls from unknown numbers so I can't accept only trusted numbers or block unknown numbers.
Thanks again.

Hi @Cammy
Unfortunately there isn't an option to block international dialing codes on the S8+. As a workaround you can add any trusted numbers to your contacts > Open the phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Block numbers > Block Unknown Callers (On). You can also add any numbers from your call log (Recents) by tapping the '+' symbol to the right of the 'Add Phone Number' section and selecting any numbers you wish to avoid in the future.

Other SmartphonesI think I found a way: type the first digits of the number (the country code with the plus) and add stars for the remaining digits.
E.g. +248*******
Let me now if it works for you as well.

Other SmartphonesI am having SM-N960F/DS Note 9 on Android version 9 (PIE) and from the steps provided, the below options are not available.
Are the options you provided means for a specific region of Samsung devices only?
