Hi guys, what's happened to my phone?

I have no battery life since the system upgraded to Android 7.

I'm reasonably tech savvy and have turned battery saver to medium and have disabled almost everything I don't need, but I don't want to restrict my processor speed or turn off high accuracy location services.

I still use an S6 and thinking of upgrading to an S8, but this makes me wonder if I should.

Don't like the new keyboard and text prediction either.

Maybe I should wait for the 1+ 5.

Hi,

Sometimes after an update and if the phone is glitchy then try clearing the system cache first.

If no help then back up and then factory reset.

Look at your battery stats to see what's using your battery etc.

Personally I found on mine it was Google Chrome that kept triggering MediaServer.

I disabled Chrome and then used the Samsung Stock Internet Browser.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
