Recent call list. How do I add a recent call which I've received to my contacts? On my previous phone I could press and hold on the number and it would give me a list I.e edit number before calling, save to contacts etching etching... I get only delete option, any ideas

i thought so too, whatever i did just bought up the delete option, but I persevered - go back to home screen, press phone button, click on recents, scroll the number, then *lightly* touch the blank face icon to the left of the number.

If it doesnt work the face icon becomes a green tick and DELETE option at the top left.  press again to untick, but the problem is list is stuck on the select a number option (you can see this after unticking the number the DELETE disappears and the left side now displays SELECT ITEMS.  even if you press home and go back to the dialler its still in this mode, that gives the impression that DELETE is the only option.

To get around the problem press the BACK key so that the SELECT ITEMS disppears.  now when you lightly tap the the face icon on any unknown number the screen slides in from the right with the options to create/update existing contacts etc.  Tapping on a known number, the screen still slides in from right but brings up the contacts info.

On S8 & S8+ instead of holding unknown number with your finger all you need to do is click ( tap )  little face on left of the number (in recent calls menu) then all option will come to the screen.  Things like add as new contact, upgrade existing contact etc.

Press back tab, then all will be OK.

After that you can tab the circle(face) or number for various options.

Tapping worked for me. Quick and only once.

this solution worked great, thanks very much. I was going nuts with my S8 trying to work this out and the answer was a 'light' tap.

This is an incredibly BAD design. It is ridiculous

I agree. I'm using a 9+, same problem, same solution. It is not at all intuitive! I prefer the hold-down-the-contact method from my previous phone to bring up the choices. After all, doing that on the 9+ gives me Delete, so why not the other choices as well? Why two methods, when one method worked just fine?
