I have a Samsung Fame 3G mobile will I be able to continue to use calls and text after 3g shutdown? My mobile provider is 3.

Will I be able to keep the same SIM card and number?

I am 75 years old and only need the mobile for calls and text I do not use it on the internet.

Help with this will be most appreciated.

I think you getting confused, three networks isn't closing down but they will be switching off the 3G signal at some point, no date has bee provided as far I know. What this mean is you will need a 4G Enabled phone and your provider should be able to keep and transfer your number for you

You may need to upgrade you phone though.

@scopio1 Three Uk will be phasing out 3G gradually and will turn it off completely at the end of 2024.  some information in this article https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2023/02/ofcom-uk-sets-out-expectations-for-2g-and-3g-mobile-sw...

As @-Robot-  says you may well need to upgrade your handset at some point.

Unfortunately as Three don't support a 2G network when they switch 3G off you'll no longer be able to make calls or use data services
