-1 badge on phone app (Samsung Galaxy 10e)

The phone app (white receiver, green background) shows a red badge with the count of "-1" after every use of the app.  I don't even have app icon badges enabled for the app.  Restarting the phone clears the "-1" count but only until the next use of the app.

@abogatyreva: I've not encountered this before. If you restart the phone in Safe Mode, does the issue persist?
Turn the device off > Press and hold the Power key > Release the Power key when the S10e logo appears > Press and hold the Volume Down key immediately after releasing the Power key > Continue to hold the Volume Down button until the device finishes booting.

AndrewL, thanks for your reply.  However, when I hold down the power button, I do not get a logo.  I get three options: Power off, Restart, and Emergency mode/ Off.  Should I select Restart?  Thanks

Sorry for the confusion. Turn the phone off first, then hold the Power button until the S10e logo appears and continue with the steps from there.
