Samsung S21 Android 14 Update

Hi,
I've had an S21 since last year September it runs fine and all but I still haven't received the Android 14 update, and I'm still on One UI 5.1 
I can't seem to update from software in settings. A friend of mine with the same phone received it back in late December/January.
How can I update/fix this?

Your device comes from the United States, specifically from T-Mobile US.

As far as I can see your device is running unbranded software version instead of T-Mobile customised one, that's why you cannot receive any update.

I don't think UK service centres can treat your problem since the device is not an European one, so I'd suggest you Samsung Moderators or my friends Members Stars to give more details on assistance.

You could try forcing an update through SmartSwitch on a PC/Laptop maybe but no guarantee.

Could see if UK service centre could possible flash the phone but, there's no guarantee it'll be successful as its non-EU device. You may be charged for them to even look at it and if they can do it then they will charge for that too if you agree to the price, if not then they'll just send phone back to you.

Wait, so is the phone locked? I bought it from BackMarket with a specific unlocked category of purchase. If it's locked I'm going to go and claim a warranty

We're talking about the software version running on the phone. As @danitudi971 mentions, your phone comes from US while you're not in US so this is probably why you're not getting updates over the air.

The network of T-Mobile was mentioned and you're probably using a different network sim so I would assume it's unlocked to networks.

I have this exact same issue rn and i'm really fruatrated, i even tried using the smart switch, it didn't work
