S21 ultra portrait background effect

Help! I took a picture in portrait mode and was able to change the background effect with the artistic blur option below which I really loved! Then I took more pictures and the artistic background blur effect is missing! What's different? Why doesn't the artistic blur option show in the second photo??😩

It needs to have a human face . Preferably close up.
More of a face shot then a body shot.
