No notification sound

Can anyone help me.? For some reason my phone has stopped making a noise when I get a text. I've tried resetting the settings to no avail. TIA Jackie

Erm what does that mean please from the sentence " in the malfunctioning phone?" I can tap on notification sounds and they will play, each and everyone, but I still get no notification sounds unless I have an app open i.e. WhatsApp a game or on a call. I have gotten so used to it I'm checking my phone every 5 mins, which I hate doing with a vengeance.

I was wondering why I couldn't log in.
It's because I have 2fa turned on and I DIDN"T F@CKING HEAR ANY NOTIFICATIONS FROM MY PHONE TO AUTHORIZE A LOGIN ATTEMPT

Come on Samsung, fix this sh!t, I'm on call! How the f@ck am I supposed to be on call in a tech industry with this f@cking problem

S22 Ultra.  No notification sounds for a month.   I will randomly receive sounds but never from texts.   I use the Google Message without RCS turned on.   I have tried EVERYTHING, including a factory reset.    When my phone restarts, it will not play the typical sound as it is booting up.   There are no devices connected to bluetooth.   All settings are set to play notifications.   I even did the cashe partition clearing and still nothing.   It will vibrate when a text comes in, but even when trying to select a tone for notifications to play, it will not play them out loud, they're all silent.   HELP please!
