Please give users the ability to disable the 5G Network connection. Since they have started powering on all of these 5G Towers, all of our devices have had extremely slow speeds. I can't wrap my head around why we needed 5G Towers in the first place when 4G worked perfectly fine where I could ping almost a gigabit up in the hills. now with 5G I'm lucky to get 20. And this is in Silicon Valley California!

@glasiuta: Further to the post above by @ynneL, please head to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode, and set this to 4G/3G/2G (auto connect). This will connect to the strongest available mobile data signal in your area, but will not connect to the 5G network.

You should be able to disable 5G and force LTE only in the mobile network settings Screenshot_20220801-085044_Call settings_59741_1659340244.jpg

Thank you for the tip, but unfortunately on my Verizon locked S21, I do not have a "Network Mode" option. Guess it's time to root the phone.

As a moderator one would assume you'd present a solid solution to this issue, but you're lack of knowledge is mind-blowing. Clearly you aren't up to par with Samsung Galaxy and current network setting option menu, because you'd know there is NO "Network mode" option available..,period. So maybe read original post once more and understand that's literally the issue presented. That Option is no longer on android 14 network menu but it should be and once was. Updates are mostly ***** and saturated with bugs. Never not a bug lol

@FuaqHugs187: I'm not too sure why the 'Network mode' option is not showing up for you in Settings > Connections > Mobile networks. This is possibly a network or regional related restriction, however I can assure you that the option is typically available via the steps I originally provided.
