Have you looked in settings, apps? It's a system app so should be there. You won't find it in your app drawer as it's not a stand alone app.

It's part of keyboard AFAIK. Can you clarify what you mean about calculator as I wouldn't expect a dictionary to be relevant to an app using numbers?

Hello, go into Samsung Notes > type a word > highlight it like you're going to copy and dictionary would come up as an option to select > select dictionary and a small pop up would say dictionary installed > check app screen.

This worked for me.

As another poster mentioned, you need to try and use the dictionary in order to get it to appear. The instructions are as follows:

I just installed a new samsung phone and I was frustated on how I could not see the Samsung dictionary as I have on my other devices. The instructions on how to see it are actually in a comment by the developer in the comments on the Galaxy Store, but you have to scroll a long way down to see it.

The instuctions are:

  1. Install the Dictionary for Samsung from the Galaxy Store
  2. Open the Samsung Internet browser
  3. Go to any normal page (try https://www.cnet.com for something quick)
  4. Select a word
  5. In the context menu that appears, click on the three dots (.) to the right
  6. If you cannot see Dictionary as an option, click on Manage apps
  7. If you cannot see Dictionary as an option, select it to turn it on
  8. Now, with the word selected, tap on Dictionary in the menu
  9. (If you still cannot see Dictionary in the menu, go to step 6 and turn it off and on again)
  10. The Dictionary app should now start and ask you to install the specific languages you want
  11. After all that... the Dictionary app will now be visible as a normal app and you are back in business!!

It appears to be a long process, but it is really quick and works every time.

I hope this helps others in the same situation as I was.
