Hi there,
Ever since I got my Samsung Galaxy S21 I have an issue where when either making or receiving calls I can hear the other person but they can't hear me.
Initially I thought it might be a signal problem but it happens wherever I am, I have even turned on wifi calling to get around signal issues.
If I call via whatsapp or facebook messenger then it is totally fine so its not a problem with the microphone. It happens whether i'm using the phone as normal or with earbuds.
In addition sometimes when someone calls I press the button to answer the call and it says it has answered but the phone is still ringing so the call isn't actually connected.
It feels like it is an issue with the phone and not my signal as with old phone (S10) it was fine in the same areas and no issue.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Strange one is that as I never had Volte calls turned ON it was always Off and i have this problem, I have now turned it ON and it's still the same.

Same problem, but sometimes they hear me and i dont hear the other person, sometimes the other way, sometime both, and last but not least; sometime my phone just turns off mid conversation.. and after the sound is gone, the onlyway to get it back is by restarting. Even things like messenger calls and all goes silent.. I will try the 'volte' off (in Norway and with my providor its called "4g-call sim 1" ) and fingers cross.. but I've lost faith. I really used to love my samsung stuff. But after many rounds of customer service and so on now with NO appseptance that samsung is at fault im getting tired. Advice i got were mostly 'its probably your providor','its your sim' (I got a new one, no fix), 'it might be one of your apps, run the phone in safe-mode' etc.. Considering getting out of the samsung-ecosystem all together if this keeps up.
And, for the recap, Im on another providor than any mentioned above (Telenor -norway) so it dont seem to be a providor problem.

I have now sorted the problem with my S21 call issue's. On the main screen tap the green phone icon/ then the 3 dots top right / Settings / click on caller I'd and spam protection / Make sure caller I'd and spam protection is turned off, and also Turn off Block Spam and Calls . Reboot phone . 😁😁
I have made dozens of calls since and received calls and not one problem , hope this works for you all .
Let me know
Thanks Chris

I have this issue almost daily now. I constantly have to call people back to have a conversation. The worst is when a service provider calls me where I asked for a callback, and they never try to call again after the initial failed call.
I have 2 SIM cards, both Hungarian Telenor.
I turned off VoLTE calling and now I'm seemingly reachable, haven't gotten an sms that someone tried to call, but this new muted call issue is infuriating.
Really disappointed in Samsung stuff.

I’m on my THIRD S21 5g on Three contract with same problem. Does everyone have a Samsung watch linked to the phone with this problem ? As on this 3rd phone it was ok till I Bluetooth the watch via Samsung wearable app. Only thing is when I disconnected it I still had same problem but wondering by linking it with the phone its triggered some other setting somewhere. Going to try another factory reset & not connect the watch. This is disgusting non service by Samsung by the way. Next step is try BBC watchdog!

Update on Maybe Samsung watch interfering. I disconnected watch from phone after a factory reset. Still have same problem. This is my 3rd phone so will now send it back & change for an iPhone. There must be an issue with the antenna on this phone as my S10e is fine.
