Hello everyone
I bought a second hand Samsung phone which seems to belong to Czech Republic's market. Since I'm now living in Japan and I'm unable to have a 5min long phone call in European soil, I would kindly ask to unlock my phone in order to be able to use a Japanese sim card.
Thank you very much.

Hello @Osaki_
I am afraid of that your problem could be solved remotely, you will have to try visit Samsung service center in Japan. Even that is strongly possible that they will not be able to help you, beacause your there is difference in versions of phone for Europe and for Asia. Do you know which of Czech operator is in your phone?

Hi, I'm not sure it the 5 minutes call is requreid after each factory reset but I bet that it is required only once. As this limitation is there exactly to prevent the situation you experience (selling phones is foreign regions) , I'm not sure if it is possible to unlock it.
Try visiting a Samsung service in Japan or try contating czech support (this is official discussion forum but not support). You can contant czech support via email info@samsung.cz, using WhatsApp (+420 800 726 786) or using live chat. You can get more info here: https://www.samsung.com/cz/support/contact/
This lock has nothing common with carrier, it is region lock.

I read on the Italian community support that they successfully unlocked phones of people living in Messico for example. Why you don't think this can't be possible?
Anyways as this is a second hand phone, I don't know which Czech operator is my phone. Is there a way to find that out somehow?

I bought the phone in Italy so it hasn't been sold in another region. I just moved to Japan from Europe.
The Italian Samsung Community support seems to have unlocked phones belonged to people in a similar situation, so I hope this is possible for mine too.
Thank you for the info. I've just emailed Czech Support.
