What is Not a School?
In partnership with FutureLearn, we’ve combined Samsung knowledge with expertise from some of the most inspiring experts around to create a programme that empowers its students to drive innovation and positive changes in the world. The Not a School programme engages with 4 key topics, on self-led learning courses that offer you the opportunity to learn about each of the issues at your own pace.

Not a School was launched as a real-life experience at Samsung KX in 2019 for a group of 18-25 year olds, recognising that the next generation of innovators are the key to creating our future. In 2020, this evolved into 2 online experiences - a full-time course for 18-25 year olds and the 4 part course we encourage you to participate in.
To drive this, we need people who really care about the world around them, as our change makers and future shapers.
How can we empower people to inspire a better world?
The world we live in today is accelerating at an exponential rate. Look back to 60 years ago and think about growing up in this era.

Human innovation and technology have given us tools to better understand the world around us, to broaden our perspective by connecting with people across the globe exploring the depths of our oceans, the heart of the rainforest, to explore the stars in the sky and question the meaning of existence.
The world is more connected than ever before and, in many instances, is at the tip of our fingers. Enhancing our ability to connect and collaborate was a key moment in human history that allows us to benefit from collective experience. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
And in today’s world, the collectives or communities that we can access are almost unending; you can explore any topic in just a few clicks with people and information only that you might never be able to reach in the real world.
We are responsible for the world that we create and should be mindful of the way that we do this. The future can be an overwhelming thing to think about, but starting the conversation is the first step.
