Wow, what a show that was! Streamed on 14 January to viewers across the globe, Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked of 2021 saw the launch of a whole range of powerful devices, setting the tone for another MASSIVE year in consumer electronics and technological innovation.
The virtual event, which traditionally takes place in February before a live audience, unveiled the new Galaxy S21 and S21+, two 5G devices with 8k video capabilities, and the cutting-edge Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G*, which is S Pen compatible – a first for the Galaxy S Series. Also announced were the Galaxy Buds Pro, the Galaxy SmartTag and Galaxy SmartTag+ for locating missing items and new software overlay One UI 3.

"We believe this year will be the real test of the power of 5G and we are committed to getting it in the hands of the next generation of innovators. With 5G enabled across the entire S21 Series, Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G offer the latest flagship experience to help you get the most out of every moment.”
There were also updates about car connectivity with SmartThings and Android Auto, and we heard about how the ongoing collaboration between Samsung and Google continues to refine the user experience. To finish, President & Head of Mobile Communications TM Roh discussed Samsung Mobile's commitment to the UNDP's Sustainable Development Goals, its Generation17 programme and the use of technology to create a better world.
