YouTube screen fill

Either I miss out on the phone screen capabilities or I miss out on the edges of the video. Is there any way to sort this out?

@aa68: If you head to Settings > Display > Full Screen Apps > YouTube, and toggle the switch to the right so it highlights, does this help at all?

can also do it in YouTube settings

it still needs to be zoomed to fill but that means the top and bottom of the screen gets cut down
