IOS has finally recognized the need for 25p video shooting for Europe and all other 50Hz countries by adding 25p in ios 14.3 update. Please Samsung do the same!
In Europe and MOST of the world TV broadcasting is 25fps this is because the electrical frequency is 50Hz, and so 50Hz electric lighting is synchronized to the 25fps the camera is shooting, thus produces a clean flicker free video. If video is shot from a smartphone at 30p in a 50Hz country, we get a bad flicker from many types of 50Hz lighting, this is particularly noticeable in street lighting and shop lights and signage. So being that Samsung as selling 30p video only on their smartphones for 50Hz countries, we are not getting the full video quality and compatibility. All dedicated camcorders and cameras can shoot 25p if they are made for 50Hz countries, so why not smartphones too? 25p is more needed than 8k, so please Samsung, give us 25p option too.
Does anyone agree that we need a choice of frame rates including 25p?
