Please!
Is there one single app that will allow me to block autodialled spam ads that arrive in a constant stream on my S20 Ultra? I cannot find a single review that is uncritical (apart from the obvious 5 star fakes). Does the technology actually exist to prevent these nuisance 'notifications' from popping up every few minutes? I assumed that everything that appeared in the AppStore was vetted, hence the Google Verified tag?

Sounds like you have downloaded a "dodgy" app. I would suggest going into the Google play store and download MALWAREBYTES, and run it. Thereafter, get yourself a good antivirus program, such as AVG.

There are also ad blockers available in the Samsung app store that should address any future issues.

NEVER, EVER download apps from outside the Google and Samsung app stores, otherwise you're just asking for trouble!! Even if my bank (who I trust) sent me a link to an app they'd like me to use for online banking purposes, I'd ignore it, and search these app stores for it instead.

Hi @SinbadtheCatfish  see the various blocking features available from samsung here and ensure Pop ups  Blocked  on Samsung Browser - Settings- Sites and Downloads- Block pop Ups.   In chrome it is Site Settings- pop Up and  Redirects  .    You may also be able to pinpoint the App responsible.

See more information here https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/ads-found-on-galaxy-device
