Sound suddenly disappearing on snapchat. 

<span;>Just bought a samsung galaxy s24 plus. First was a problem with snapchat. Found out the notification problem after a lot of searching on the Internet. 🤦 Now I have a problem with the sound suddenly disappearing when I watch a story on snapchat. Do I really have to uninstall and reinstall?</span;>

do you mean by "Sound suddenly disappearing" that the media volume or video volume is automatically dropping to zero?

for reference, I had S24+ for almost a year now. No issues whatsoever with sound or notifications. and I don't use snapchat

Most probably it is a bug within snapchat app. Before uninstalling/reinstalling, try clearing the cache and data of the app first.

@Ask3pott: Further to the above, please head to Settings > Apps > Snapchat > Force stop > Storage > Clear cache, then restart your device to see if this helps. I also recommend heading to the Google Play Store > Tap your profile in the top right > Manage apps and device > Updates, and checking for any available Snapchat updates from here.
