shorten video

I am using the Samsung  video app.

(version 1.4.21.40) and the editor shows an scissor tool, I guess that is for cutting the video in bits, but somehow I cannot get this to work, 

I have a video, (a screenrecording) and I want to remove bits of it, or only have the first half of it, jow do I do that?

using a galaxy xcover pro, all software up to date.

Hi @Flintstone 

When in 'edit' mode and you have the scissors highlighted, you should see the different frames of the video at the bottom of the screen. If you press and hold down the tab at either end of the video frames, you'll then be able to slide them to the point you want to crop the video. Once done, press 'Save' at the top of your screen.
