Sharing Calendar

My wife and I both have Samsung phones S24 and S20

We would like to be able to see each other's calendars.

In the Samsung calendar app it is under 'My phone' and is called 'My calendars'

It seems that you cannot invite to view this calendar, is it just a local calendar on the device?

I cannot turn off this calendar without losing all historical data.

Is there a way to invite to view this calendar?

Go to calendar app > press 3 lines > manage calendars > on samsung account section there's and option "create shared calendar" press on it and it will let you create shared calendar and you can choose people to invite and who can edit.
