I sent this in an error report because there's no way to update Samsung Smart Switch to a newer version than my Tab A7 already has so the PC version refuses to connect to the Tablet now. The answer that came back was a joke as per usual. Contact your mobile phone network provider...

"I cannot connect my Tablet to my PC because it says Samsung Smart Switch needs updating on the Tablet but there's no newer version that works on the Tablet. I have Version 4.3.23022_1 on Windows 10 Home 22H2 64-bit that's fully updated and using Windows Defender for security, no third party tools. The Tab A7 has the October 2022 build of Android 12 with March 2023 Play Security Patch. The Smart Switch build is 3.7.42.12 from Galaxy Store and won't update to anything newer. The newer build says not compatible with my Tab A7"

How that is mobile network related in any way at all on a WiFi only Tablet is beyond me.

The only reason I contacted them that way in the first place was because the app took me into Members app to file the report

It's been fixed with an update to Smart Switch PC, someone else must have managed to report the same issue without dealing with those plebs

Glad you managed to sort it in any case, @antikythera!

Are you able to upload a screenshot of the reply you received from the error report? (Obviously, with any personal info of yourself blocked out - if there is any.) I'd like the folks at our side to look into it.

Unfortunately not, I deleted it already. The crux of the issue stems from the Smart Switch app opening Members App to file an Error Report and it getting sent to a team who cannot deal with it. I tried again the following day thinking it may just be someone who couldn't care less about their job. I got informed that Customer Service via Members App do not deal with the Smart Switch App and to go through the website for Technical Support. So there's a great example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Your App developer in good faith has been told at some point to use Members App for error report handling. Your Customer Service team however have not been informed of this or trained to deal with a Samsung Application for mobile devices and PC that's been around for at least 9 years if not longer. Two different people but at least the 2nd didn't cut and paste a load of rubbish and were honest with me
