This is a problem with the app. Please read the reviews on Google Play. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be interested in resolving the very many issues.

Update the software to latest version or just update WhatsApp.

It's been fixed with the software update after Android 12 and before the December update.

It seems not.

I received the 300MB+ post-Android 12 update  5 days ago which indeed fixed the green line on Whatsapp videos but I now have this issue of video turning green again. Please let me know anyone if you get a fix

I had that issue from beta and got updated with the fix.
Worst case scenario you may have to reset and manually install apps.

That is if you have tried wipe cache and repair apps options.
