Samsung pay on my watch wont accept my card

I just got a Samsung watch 5 but when trying to add my TD debit card it tells me card is not supported. I have this card on my phones samsung wallet and it says TD is supported. Why is this happening

Update: called my bank and they said that my specific card that i have will only work with the phone and not the watch.
