Is anyone having issues with the mic on google home page of samsung internet? I use the mic search option a lot, but Samsung internet browser doesn't work. It says check mic levels, which I have, but it says listening (without any text on coming screen). I tried the widget and that works! Chrome works perfectly also. It's driving me nuts as I didn't have a problem with it before.
So that's another Google app I'll be switching to.
Anyone having the same issues?

Yes I see similar behaviour. If I go into the search box at the top of the Samsung Internet home page the mic button works fine but if I use it from google home page within the same browser the results are very intermittent. Mic also works fine from Chrome. Strange - may be it's a problem with the last app update?

I've tried what you stated and mine is the same. Works on the samsung page at address bar search but not Google home page.
I wonder if this is a Google issue?

Yes it is odd isn't it. I tried clearing the app cache of the Samsung browser but unfortunately didn't make any difference

I've tried the widget at the bottom of my home screen, but I'm not sure. I guess it is going to be a move to Chrome now.

I found this post on the community - seems Samsung Internet isn't a supported browser for Google Voice

It's a shame, but I guess it's the move to Google services. Cheaper for Samsung I suppose.

Update: I have moved back to Samsung Internet for now. Simple reason of moving the address bar to the bottom of the screen. Also there is built in ad blocking and the big thing I have noticed, is the memory and battery usage is lower than when using Chrome.
